Creativity for Young Adults
LoLA’s latest development is an art box designed for young adults. So far, Lots of Lovely Art has concentrated solely on helping younger children to express themselves through the medium of art. With this new box it is turning its attention to young adolescents.
The ‘Me, Myself and I’ box looks closely at the theme of identity. This means that it is not simply an art box, but also a useful tool for young adolescents to start thinking about who they are and who they want to be. By studying artists and their work, the box also opens up ideas about diversity, empathy and connection. It is truly unique in encouraging young people to start thinking about their varied emotions and how art can help them understand and express these more clearly.
Me Myself and I
The small booklet included in the box is packed full of information and ideas, and is versatile enough that adolescents can either dip in and out as and when they choose, or sit down for a full day of creativity!
‘Me, Myself and I’ includes lots of quality art materials (a set of acrylic paints, a paintbrush, a styrofoam sheet and sticky foam for printing, a set of skin-tone soft pastels, collage papers and a journal) and is packed full of projects exploring the complex theme of Identity and ‘who we are’, be that through portraiture, our body or our varied emotions.
