What's the story behind The Big Blue?

Blue is the most popular colour in the spectrum, chosen as their favourite by almost half of both men and women. It has great emotional power. On the one hand, it is the colour of things we all love, a cloudless sky and the open sea; on the other hand, it is used to describe a state of melancholy, and a form of music (‘The Blues’). Many artists recognised this emotional power and made the colour blue a central feature of their painting
