Pure sculptors (eg, Henry Moore) chip away with a hammer and chisel. When moulding clay, models can be cast in materials like bronze (eg, Alberto Giacometti ). Other techniques include assembling a variety of materials (eg, Alexander Calder).

Art such as painting, drawing and printing is two-dimensional (ie, flat). Sculpture is art in three dimensions. In this box we are experimenting with lots of different sculpting materials (such as wire, clay and plaster of Paris) and we look at some of the masters in the field. We hope you feel inspired and have lots of fun!
