Crazy Collage Little Ones Art Box
The word “collage” comes from the French “coller” – “to glue” or “to stick together”. From Picasso to Tracey English, this art box looks at lots of different artists as inspiration. Create collaged animals and fruit with painted textured papers, multi-media layered landscapes and trees out of torn and ripped colourful cuttings, and portraits using montage, magazines and lots of glue!

What's the story behind the "Crazy Collage" box?
The final work in collage is the result of assembling a number of different forms to create a new whole. Collages sometimes include magazine and newspaper clippings, ribbons, paint, bits of coloured or hand-made papers, portions of other artwork or texts, photographs and other objects.
In this box we look at three different types of collage: The first is the art of painted paper. Both Eric Carle</span style=”font-weight: 400;”>, author of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”, and Tracey English</span style=”font-weight: 400;”>, create their wonderful collages out of hand-painted, textured papers. Our second set of collage projects look at how artists like Ted Harrison</span style=”font-weight: 400;”> and Mizuki Goto</span style=”font-weight: 400;”> create beautifully simple yet layered landscapes and seascapes. While creating portraits, Pablo Picasso</span style=”font-weight: 400;”> and Hannah Hoch inspire us to mix media, both drawn and torn!
