The idea of an Advent calendar to mark the countdown to Christmas began in Germany in the early 19th century and spread to the UK in the 1950s. Nowadays the calendar is most popular as a dispenser of chocolate, giving out a different treat for each day of the month. What other ways can you think of to count down to the big occasion?

This box includes 24 water-colour paper mini houses, a set of acrylic paints, a paint-brush, a metallic marker, embroidery threads and 24 mini labels

When will my box be delivered?
